Show must go on

See you soon Galliano!

It's the end of an era. Dior show opened with a speech of Ceo of Dior. After a brief history notes

"His values, his genius and his legacy have contributed to enhancing France’s image and culture around the world for more than sixty years"

he remarked the values of the Maison

"Mousier Dior believed in the importance of respect and in the capacity of this fundamental value not only to bring out the beauty in women, but also to bring out the best in all people"

and exalted the ability of craftmanship of its employees

" a group of people within the House of Dior who devote all their talent and energy to achieving the ultimate in artisanship and femininity, respecting traditional skills and incorporating modern technique"

The speech wanted to remark that Dior exists despite its designer but everyone was thinking at the big absent who was there in his beautiful designs.Romantic dresses, floaty skirts, fur collars, ruffles, tulle and embroideries.
Galliano's magic is still there.
Dior's employees apperead at the end of the runway.
The observers were quiet all the time, even the craftmen were touched.Maybe they were thinking that Galliano discharge was too impatient and severe in spite of his public excuses.
Meanwhile the axed designer left France to go in rehab following the advice of his friends Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss.
But it's not over.
Behind the scenes, Dior is telling industry watchers it is glad Galliano is gone, as it wanted to move away from his theatrical style and embrace a more subtle and refined elegance to better reflects post-economic crisis society.
Someone is biting the hand that feeded him.
