Another fake Birkin

The Birkin bag is a dream for almost any fashionista but the japan brand T.A.T.A. Baby worked to make it available to anyone. The bags you see above are just printed with the famous style of Hermes bags. I have to say they look really good!
If you're looking for a even cheaper bag,you know what you have to do! Take a canvas bag and fabric paint and draw your own birkin.

Paper Bag DIY

No fashionista can be defined like that if she hasn't starved herself to save up the money to buy a bag (or at least to be written in a waiting list).
Bags we love are made of the same material dreams are made of :have you ever a touched a dream?I have never got in touch with something so expensive.
What is a material more down to earth present in our life we can relate with?
Today i wanted to sew just for fun a paper bag.
The idea came from the fact i wanted to "desecrate" the myth of an object of our desire using an uncommon, poor raw material and create a contrast between the shape of luxury (that is for the élite) and a material everyone gets in contact with.
So this material is paper.
I've treated paper this way.
I bought wrapping paper,i glued 4 layers of it and then i've laminated with scotch tape.
I would prefer opaque finish but ended being impossible.
This way i obtained a quite rigid waterproof material.
Then i put together the bag.
I've sewn as it was fabric.
I'll add a magnetic button to close the bag.
I've reinforced the bottom with a layer of pressed cardboard.
What do you think of the result?
Cool or cheap?

Cool or cheap?

Touches of Spring DIY

Shoes: Strutt for Asos
bag: Cinti
skirt:DIY

I'm seeking for spring colours and atmosphere. Today i would like to share with you a new DIY project that includes knitting .It's a flared, ruffled skirt.Even if seems complicated it's made with just purl stitch, the ruffle effect is done with a special yarn called Ondas.
You can find it googling ondas knit or ruffle yarn.
At first sight it looks like a normal yarn but when you open it's made of net.
Once it's opened you can start knitting it normally, you just have to insert your needle along the border of the net.
Confused?Don't worry,i found for you a step by step tutorial plus a pattern for a basic scarf.

basic scarf download by Katia.es

The skirt is made of 2 pieces sewn together, a front and a back. Every side it's basically a trapezium.

Start with 60 stitches (for a size UK 10,USA 6,euro 38) or 64 (for a size UK 14,USA 10,euro 42)
at the third row start decreasing.
decrease one stitch each side (at start and end)
continue decreasing as shown
decrease 1 stich every 2 rows (twice)
decrease 1 stitch every 4 rows (twice)
decrease 1 stitch every 6 rows(twice)
then continue till the desidered lenght

repeat all for the other side.
Sew the pieces together then sew a wide elastic band at the top.

If all this is confusing then just take a flared skirt from your wardrobe and follow its shape,it will be your pattern or use one of the tons of free patterns i found at this link

Bags for your smart days

What are the best bags to carry at work to give to your outfit a serious appeal?
Sobriety works best but it doesn't mean we're leaving fashion behind.
We have to choose the right materials: leather, a dark shade of colour,a classic design.
If still want to stand out from others then choose exotic leathers like crocodile, ostrich or snakeskin or an embossed leather like the guccissima leather.
The size? You should go for a medium to a big bag to carry all your necessary things!
So let's have a look at possible choices.

Gucci Pelham bag

Louis Vuitton Manhattan bag

Fendi Peekaboo bag
Woud you add others? C'mon suggest!
