These are my rules to find a gift for a man.

Investigate his interests.
Find a mysterious item, what it does must be not immediately clear, better if it looks like something else.
Must be something he wants to show to his friends.

When you do it right the reaction should be like this, let's take for example the pick punch.
He:  -What is this? (with curiosity)
       -Did you get me a stapler? (with disappointment)
You: -It's a pick punch, you can make you custom guitar picks out of everything.
He:  -No, I can't believe it, that's too cool!

Wouldn't this make a fabulous winter chandelier? This is a product and snowflakes are laser cut but I think it can be DIYed easily. Snowflakes can be cut from paper, I found some  free snowflakes patterns at Design my home and fishing or nylon thread can be used to hang them.

This is by far my favorite xmas decoration idea, a crochet light carpet! It looks like a giant crochet doilie! It can live also outside Christmas but  is easier to find the light tubes in shops in this time of the year. I can't wait to crochet light tubes! We can also make different shapes with the tube.
