What to Wear Wednesday: Parkas

I've never worn olive green or sporty coats. Since I wasn't going hunting or fishing I felt like I didn't need any of those functional coats with a lot of pockets or camouflage patterns. Not that I'm changing my habits, I still don't need to disguise between the trees but I'm reconsidering army green. These coats look super comfortable and warm with synthetic fur lining.

Parkas along with checked shirts and ripped jeans are having a moment. The deliberately messy style  that Grunge promoted is back on the streets even if maybe without the rebellion against the pop culture that it represented in the 90s.

How will you wear parkas? With a polished look or with messy hair like a 90's girl?


Per me le giacche verdi e piene di tasche erano relegate al guardaroba maschile per attività quali la caccia e la pesca. Francamente non ho mai considerato di indossare il verde bottiglia. Non mi dedicherò certo a nessuna di queste attività ma potrei riconsiderare le mie posizioni e fare un'eccezione per questi parka dall'aspetto caldo e confortevole. 
Parka e giacche militari indossati con camicie a scacchi e jeans strappati sono capi simbolo dello stile deliberatamente trasandato del grunge anni 90. Uno stile che oggi viene riscoperto e diventa trend di stagione (anche se forse svuotato del suo significato di ribellione contro la cultura pop).

E voi come indosserete i parka? Con capi bon ton o con i capelli spettinati proprio come una ragazza degli anni 90?

Often they are a piece of art on their own but they are not only drawings, they are the best way for a designer to keep track of their inspiration. I too had fun drawing a sketch, thay is the outfit I would like to wear on Christmas evening. The three pieces that make this outfit: shoes,dress and bag went in my Diy list, I'll try my best to finish all three before Christmas and if you too like them you'll just have to wait for the tutorial.

Se volete divertirvi a vestire un'icona Colour me good è il libro che fa per voi: è una collezione di schizzi che ritraggono Kate Moss da colorare a vostro piacimento. Anch'io mi sono divertita a disegnare uno schizzo ritraendo l'outfit che vorrei indossare la sera di Natale. Scarpe, borsa e vestito sono nella mia lista dei progetti da fare e spero di riuscire ad ultimarli prima di Natale; se piacciono anche a voi non vi resta che attendere il tutorial per realizzarli.

This year has been a very special one when it comes to expensive weddings. We know Kate Middlelton lead off the dance wearing a McQueen gown (it's just my opinion or she completed ruled the press leaving prince William in the background?) then was the turn of Kate Moss in Galliano and Charlene Wittstock in Armani Privè who married price Albert of Monaco. They have been very different brides and the dresses they chose i think they reflect their personality. Kate Moss is always against the current choosing Galliano who has been abandoned by everyone during these months. The dress is daring and leaves the legs exposed but i find it very romantic and somehow hippy;i love all those gold details and random crystals. Kate Middleton chose McQueen, her dress is classical, a lot more classical than everyone would expect from McQueen label, maybe her directions have guided Sarah Burton in the design process. Charlene wore a very elegant Armani Privè dress with the longest train and it took 2,500 hours of work,40,000 Swarovski crystals,20,000 mother of pearl teardrops,30,000 stones in gold shades,3,000 kilometres of travel for fittings in Montecarlo,700 hours of work for the embroidery“kilometres” of embroidery thread coated in platinum,50 meters of silk duchesse,80 meters of silk organza,for the veil: 20 meters of silk tulle, 100 hours of work for the embroidery,sorry i had to write down these numbers because they really impressive! The fact is the dress has an effortless elegance and know we know how "effortless" it is,it's couture for sure. What do you think of these brides?What's your favorite? What dress would you wear?

Quest'anno è stato l'anno dei matrimoni da ricordare:Kate Middlelton ha aperto le danze (si lei perchè William è stato appena menzionato dalle cronache) indossando un McQueen,poi è stato il turno di Kate Moss che ha indossato Galliano mentre Charlene Wittstock ha chiuso la stagione nientemeno che in Armani Privè sposando il principe Alberto di Monaco. Kate Moss è sempre contro corrente ed ha scelto di vestire Galliano nonostante il designer sia stato abbandonato da tutti negli ultimi mesi. Osa mostrando le gambe ma  il suo vestito è comuque molto romantico, hippy in qualche modo ed adoro i dettagli ricamati in oro e i cristalli sparsi qua e là. Il vestito di Kate Middlelton è nell'insieme molto classico,elegante ma sicuramente meno stravagante di quanto ci si aspetta dal marchio McQueen,evidentemente i consigli della sposa hanno guidato Sarah Burton nel progetto del vestito. Poi c'è Charlen in Armani Privè,un vero capolavoro di eleganza e sartorialità che ha richiesto più di 2500 ore di lavoro per essere completato. Qual è il vostro vestito preferito? Kate collection is in at topshop. I'm posting about this because i've loved her collections and i've bought many pieces during the years. This last time you can find iconic pieces that have been bestsellers during the years (most of them i already own) and some new fashionable pieces from the 70s. Kate Moss loves Topshop lands the 2th of November

Kate Moss collaboration with Topshop is going to the end.
November, 2 the her last big collection will land. We will see new pieces and some best selling that are still in high demand. View the video to have a preview.
She will be releasing only capsule collections 3 times a year in the future.
Topshop is organizing some big events to support the collection's launch.
The first day of November Kate will host a shopping event with dj set at Oxford Circus, she'll sign posters and guests will be able to buy her collection a day before the official launch.
