Horizontal ones are only for self-confident girls because they widen the body, much more loved are vertical ones for their slimming effect: stripes are back on trend with no half measures, just black and white. Like any other pattern stripes work well with solid colors, flashy or not. Spring trends want stripes paired with black and white for a clean, minimalistic total look. Wear stripes with confidence. New designs are smart and make the figure look slimmer like the Stella Mccartney dress or H&M striped one. Try also the new chic sporty look with the stripes that go across the arm and legs.

Solo per donne sicure di sè quelle orizzontali perchè "allargano", più ben viste quelle verticali perchè invece allungano, le righe tornano di gran moda in primavera e senza mezze misure le righe bianche si alternano a quelle nere. Per un abbinamento riuscito valgono le stesse regole delle altre stampe, le righe si sposano bene con la tinta unita, che sia un colore acceso oppure no. Le tendenze di stagione le vogliono abbinate  ad un total look bianco e nero da movimentare con qualche accento di colore degli accessori. Indossate pure le righe con sicurezza, l'alternanza del bianco e nero è strategica e diventa complice di bellezza rendendo la figura più sottile come nell'abito di Stella McCartney o di H&M oppure evoca lo sportwear con le linee verticali che corrono sul lato del braccio o della gamba per un look essenziale e minimale.

DIY inspiration to survive this hot summer staying stylish.

• cut out fabric from your shirts (it can be sleeves, the bottom, the back)
• use the cut piece as a pattern and copy its shape on a lightweighed fabric
• sew the sheer fabric in place

to get a unique sheer shirt.

I cut out a man shirt once and I'm definitely going to use this technique again to make a summer sheer shirt.

Ecco qualche spunto per sopravvivere a questa calda estate con stile. 

Possiamo alleggerire una camicetta estiva in questo modo:

• ritagliate delle parti dalla camicetta (possono essere le maniche, il retro o parte del davanti) 
• utilizzate la parte tagliata come modello e ricopiatene la forma su una stoffa leggera e trasparente
• ricucite il pezzo mancante
•  otterrete così una camicia davvero unica e fresca

Chanel piercings are made of pearls. Karl Lagerfeld decorated model's faces with an elegant twist of punk piercings, the kind of piercings a lady would wear. To obtain a similar look we can buy flat back pearls and glue them wherever we like. I especially like the decoration on the back. If you're wondering what kind of glue should be used on the face, I think that false eye lashes glue should do the trick. I'll try it and I'll let you know.

I piercing secondo Chanel sono di perle. Karl Lagerfeld ha impreziosito il volto delle sue modelle con delle perline che ricordano i piercing stile punk in una versione più elegante, quella che una lady vestita Chanel potrebbe indossare. Per ottenere un look simile possiamo acquistare delle perle adesive con il retro piatto e incollarle dove più ci piace, trovo bellissimo il decoro sulla schiena! Se state pensando a quale colla usare per il viso, penso che la colla per le ciglia finte potrebbe fare al caso nostro. In ogni caso la proverò e vi farò sapere!

The shape of this hat is definitely too dramatic for daily use but Nicolas Gesquiere, with his daring design, gives us a precious DIY tip : decorate the inside instead of the outside of an hat. You'll be able to make a unique hat, a jewel for your head.

 Milano fashion week lands today and some of the biggest names of fashion will walk down the runway. I promise to keep my eyes opened fo you to spot trendy DIY ideas. Today I would like to share with you some streetstyle looks I snapped in Milan (pretenting to be Scott Schuman ) last september during fashion week . 

La settimana della moda milanese è ai nastri di partenza. Da oggi fino al 28 Febbraio alcuni degli stilisti più famosi del globo sfileranno sulla passerella e io prometto di tenere gli occhi aperti per individuare i più trendy diy. Oggi vorrei condividere con voi qualche look che ho immortalato (fingendo di essere Scott Schuman) lo scorso settembre a Milano durante la fashion week .

Believe it or not, this unexpected pop of color walking down the street is Anna Dello Russo. I know it's not a great pic but she's the fastest fashion vision you can encounter. She was literally running in high heels from a show to another and I wasn't fast enough to catch her.

We are all fans of Scott Schuman eye for streetstyle fashion; his blog has inspired many others to follow his footsteps. If you think you already seen all influential streetstyle fashion blogs, you're wrong. In fact there's one you missed. During my internet wanderings I found a real gem:The Catorialist, the cat version of The Sartorialist where the camera captures the best of "cat style" accompained by very witty comments, a very clever parody! I commenti ricalcano lo stile di Schuman, una parodia spiritosa e intelligente.

DIY fashion: Sharp as a razor

Less expensive than beads but a lot more dangerous, razor blades have been used to decorate this coat. I find that this is an interesting and diffent look. To copy this look without slashing your hands buy razor shaped pendants you can find in punk clothes shop.
