Missoni nails DIY
Just for fun I tried to do a zig zag manicure today. I applied a base coat and then I drew little V in different colors with a metallic tip obtaining the zig zag decors. This is the first experiment, I found out that an older nail polish, more dense than newer ones allows to draw a more accurate zig zag but it will make a thicker layer so it takes longer to dry. I still haven't tested nail art pens, maybe they could be helpful for intricate decorations, what do you say? Have tried them yet? What do you think of the result?

Prints 2011
Marchesa spring 2011
Missoni spring 2011
Balenciaga Resort 2011
Burberry Prorsum, Stella McCartney, Proenza Schouler, Prada
Missoni swimwear
Williamson Bulgari clutches
Prada 2011
Let's have a look at the colorful spring that awaits us. This year we can have fun with a lot of prints. I think we can say that for most of them the inspiration is the jungle.Miuccia Prada plays with monkeys and bananas prints paired with colored stripes pieces while Marchesa chooses geometrical motifes in yellow and blue giving to the print an african appeal.
Stella McCartney makes fruity prints and Matthew Williamson creates a series of bags for Bulgari with kaleiscope, nature inspired, prints.
Missoni collection mantains the style of the maison, their knitted prints are always beautiful.
We maybe feel the temptation to mix these prints.
But how can we mix prints with style and avoid a messy overdose?
Which print can be put together?
It's a good idea to make a contrast,to pair different prints together (floral and stripes) less dangerous than to pair similar prints together like 2 kind of stripes (thin and bold).
What is your best mixture?
If you like post a pic in the comment line!

Shopping for missoni fabrics at the local market
I stepped in the local market where a kind lady sells beautiful fabrics. Today she has very fantastic fabrics from missoni! They are selling fast! Omg i had to buy at least one! To tell the truth i'm a beginner in sewing but i'm willing to learn. Missoni is famous for the knitted fabrics, i've picked a classic type (even if i wanted to buy them all but are expensive), a weavy design with some gold thread inside that add sparkle to it. I think i'll make a dress out of it, i'm not sure how to make the shoulders, i'll think about it.
