Peplum tops and skirts are here to stay. They've been very popular last spring and they're in fall collections as well maybe because that frill around the waist gives a feminine touch to any outfit.
How can we transform a skirt into a peplum skirt? It only takes a circle of fabric and you can do it in one hour.
Today I want to show you an even quicker way to trasform any outfit into a peplum outfit just with an accessory: the peplum belt.
The on/off peplum can temporary transform your clothes and you'll simply take it off when your relashionship with peplums will be over.
I bet it's not difficult to DIY,  we can just glue a circle of leather around the waist.

La baschina, una delle protagoniste della passata primavera continua a imperversare anche in l'autunno. Sarà forse perchè quel volant scampanato dà un tocco di femminilità in più al look. Come trasformare una gonna in una gonna peplum? Basta un cerchio di stoffa e potete farlo in circa un'ora. Oggi però voglio mostrarvi un accessorio che sicuramente piacerà ai fan della baschina: la cinta peplum che aggiungerà quel volant femminile ad ogni look che volete.  La baschina on/off è un'idea intelligente perchè la trasformazione del capo è solo temporanea e ci permette di tornare indietro quando di baschine ne avremo avuto abbastanza. Realizzarla non è difficile, basterà incollare un volant ad una cinta, mentre pensate a come personalizzare la vostra cinta guardate il peplum rimuovibile realizzato da Tasha..

Today I would like to show you how make a peplum skirt. We'll transform a classic pencil skirt into an up-to-date super feminine peplum. This retro look will enhance your curves creating the illusion of a smaller waist and wider hips. Peplums are very popular right now in every form, this tutorial can also be used to make peplum tops and dresses.



Oggi vi mostrerò come realizzare una gonna a tulipano. Trasformeremo la classica gonna dritta in una  più femminile e alla moda. L'aggiunta del volant vi donerà l'effetto di una vita più stretta e di fianchi più generosi. Il look tulipano è oggi molto popolare, questo tutorial può essere utilizzato anche per aggiungere volant a top o vestiti.

Con un metro da sarta misurate la vita della gonna

I cut the circle at the back because my zipper was there, you can cut it at one side if your zipper is there.

Dividete il numero per 6.28 ottenendo così la misura del raggio R. Disegnate una circonferenza di raggio R. Aggiungete 20 cm ad R e disegnate un'altra circonferenza concentrica. Ritagliate il cerchio di stoffa.

Starting from the center pin the circle on the skirt. Make sure the open side goes close to the zipper so you can still use it. When everything is ok sew the peplum onto the skirt.

Cominciando dal centro appuntate la stoffa sulla gonna con degli spilli. Tagliate la stoffa in corrispondenza della zip. Potrete così continuare ad usarla senza problemi. Infine cucite la stoffa sulla gonna. Voilà!

It's fresh and delicate, mint color is my latest fixation, I have to stop myself from buying everything in this color. This Acne sweater above is the coolest, it looks like a mix of two of my latest knitworks: the mint sweater and the rhombus pink one, I should have mixed the two together! Maybe next time but with cotton yarn, it's time for spring projects.

Il color menta, perfetto per la primavera è il trend sotto i riflettori. In questo momento acquisterei ogni singolo

capo in questo colore. La mia ultima fissazione è il maglione di Acne che appare come un mix tra due maglie che ho realizzato di recente: una color menta e l'altra con la trama a rombi. Avrei dovuto mescolare le due cose per ottenere un simile risultato!
