Feed your inspiration with new knitting patterns. If you're thinking about building your winter wardrobe around few key pieces, choose a garment that will become a staple: a statement jumper.  For those who want to wear their sweater from am to pm I suggest to make a monochrome jumper with textured pattern. Dip into this collection of incredible patterns and make your standout piece.  Some patterns are easier and suitable for beginners (be patience, watch the video and try to make a swatch, knitting patterns are almost all approachable) others are more advanced, but very inspirational; check out below an unbelievable knitted 3d spider.   If you're just starting out and want to explore the relaxing and rewarding experience of knitting read " How to start knitting" here.
And you? What are you knitting for fall?

Needlepoint 2.0 : the new unconventional embroidery

Who said needlepoint is just for grannies? Balmain and Dolce&Gabbana successfully brought embroidery back on trend with their fall/winter 2012 collections. Now the big public started to love it, but let's have a look at how embroidery evolved in the past few years. Needlepoint went beyond bedsheets and fabric and now decorates any surface from porcelain to metal, virtually any pierced surface is a good surface that can be embroidered. The contrast between new materials and old techniques creates very interesting items.
Eline Pellinkhof doesn't need needle and thread either, she borrows classic embroidery drawings and paint them on walls, but no one is a braver embroider than Miss cross stitch that, unseen by the police decorates public structures like benchs and fences, she calls it "Street embroidery".
If you're willing to learn to embroider I suggest you to start from cross stitch, stitches are regulated by predetermined steps so the result will be always well refined. If you can't wait to see the result of a diy you can still make an embroidered top without embroider, to see how click here.

Virtually any surface that is regularly pierced can be embroidered like vases, magazine racks, chairs and so on.

Valentino - Lanvin - Givenchy fall 2012

Fall collections are all about leather: coats, dresses, skirts, trousers and accessories, they are all made of leather. If you're a fan of the dark allure leather can evoke this is your chance to wear it head to toe.
Today I'll show you how to make a leather fringe skirt. All you need is 60 cm of black leather or faux leather fabric to cover  a 40 cm long skirt. Get a pair of scissors and read the full tutorial here

Tassel Hair earrings DIY

I warn you.Today Diy project is super easy with massive impact! And it involves the use of human hair!Wanna know more?
It concentrates all the fashion trends for spring:tassles, neon colours, orange, bright colored dyed hair.
What do you do if you like the bright colored hair trend but you're not so brave to dye your hair and hair extentions are too expensive?Simple, you can wear hair extension as unique tassle earrings!
The pictures are pretty self explainatory about the making, you have only to buy a wisp of colored hair, cut at the desired lenght,i made them very long like 22 cms,cut the paperclip and squeeze the hair in the closure, add hooks and you're done!
Now you own a pair of earrings that you can even style different ways according to your hair!
You can use your straightner and make them curly, wavy or whatever.
Do you like them?
If you do them totally send me a picture :D
