DIY idea: embellished head to toe

Fireworks inspired Dolce&Gabbana spring 2012 collection.The pyrotechnic lights are reproduced on clothes with big,colored stones. Dresses become giant jewels. The keyword is exagerate with embellishes.If you want to reproduce this look  you have two options: hot fix iron on rhinestones that you can glue on a garment with iron or flat back rhinestones; search those that are pirched and can be used like beads. You can sew them on a cloth with needle and thread.

Jen asked how to reproduce Selena Gomez bejewelled look  in Love me like a love song video.
In order to copy her look take a plain corset or a corset tutu dress and decorate it with the rhistones above. Iron on rhinestuds are easier to handle: just place them wherever you want on the corset and press the hot iron on. If you have more time and patience choose flat back rhinestones and sew them on the corset ( you might be able to find them bigger than iron on ones). Big sequins can also be an option. I also found a couple of ready to buy inspired looks. If you have any question feel free to ask.

Dolce&Gabbana hanno ricoperto i loro abiti di veri e propri gioielli evocando i fuochi d'artificio dei giorni di festa. Un look fastoso che può essere copiato con un po' di pazienza e tanti strass da incollare  con il ferro da stiro o stras piatti e forati da cucire come perline.

Jen mi ha chiesto come riprodurre il look di Selena Gomez nel video Love me like a love song. Partendo da un corsetto semplice basterà posizionare a piacimento gli strass e poi incollarli con il ferro caldo oppure dare un'occhiata a i look che ho scovato ispirati a quello della cantante.

Less expensive than beads but a lot more dangerous, razor blades have been used to decorate this coat. I find that this is an interesting and diffent look. To copy this look without slashing your hands buy razor shaped pendants you can find in punk clothes shop.

Meno costose delle perline ma molto più pericolose, le lamette sono state utilizzate per decorare questo cappotto. E' un look sicuramente diverso e interessante;per copiarlo senza tagliarvi potete acquistare dei ciondoli a forma di lametta,cercateli nei negozi che vendono abbigliamento punk.

Oggi è la festa della mamma! Vi siete ricordati di comprarle un regalo o avete fatto shopping solo per voi? Ah,siete stati egoisti! :P Ma oggi vi darò l'oppurtunità di riscattarvi. Anche se è domenica potrete preparare un regalo dell'ultimo minuto per mammuzza bedda con quello che avete a casa!

You'll need:

the proof of guilt= bag handles from your shopping bags
la prova della vostra colpevolezza: i manici delle buste dello shopping

some beads

a ribbon or a shoe lace

that's all!

qualche perlina
un nastrino di raso o un laccio di scarpe

wave the robe a bit
date al cordino una forma ondulata

make a loop and insert the needle into the rope
add a bead
insert the needle into the rope again

fate un cappio
inserite l'ago nella corda
inserite una perlina
infilate l'ago nuovamente nella corda

make another loop and insert the needle into the rope

fate un altro cappio e inserite l'ago nella corda

continue inserting a bead

continuate inserendo una perlina

repeat the steps

ripetete il procedimento

now repeat the same steps on the other side

ripetete il procedimento sull'altro lato

sew one bag handle after the other and complete the bracelet

use a ribbon or a shoe lace to make the closure

cucite un manico dopo l'altro e completate il braccialetto
usate un nastrino di raso o un laccio di scarpe come chiusura

DIY inspiration: Dior chandelier shoes

I saw these cute shoes by Dior,the heel is decorated with strand of beads. Think at the effect of these beaded fringes while walking! I was thinking that the look could be copied this way:

1. prepare a few strands of beads (choose light weighted beads)
2. then connect them to a little chain,every strand in every loop
3. glue the chain around the heel
4. you can do several layers

and you're done!


Ho visto queste bellissime scarpe di Dior con il tacco decorato da delle file di perline.Pensate all'effetto di wueste frangette quand si cammina! Penso che quest'effetto si possa replicare in questo modo:

1. infilate diverse file di perline
2. connettetele ad una catenella,un filo in ogni anello
3. incollate la catenella intorno al tacco
4. potete farne diversi strati

ed è fatto!

DIY inspiration:pearls

Nothing better than a few pearls sewn on a collar or a cuff to give some dignity to a common jacket.To give dynamisn to the decoration pearls have been chosen in different sizes and placed randomly.
In the second pic we see many rows of pearls put like a lot of necklaces over the naked parts of the body that appear under the cutout dress.We can copy these details on a dress we already own. Sleeves decorated this way are really beautiful, the sexier option is the decorated naked back.

Niente di meglio di qualche perla cucita su di un colletto o un polsino per dare personalità ad una giacca comune.Per dare movimento alla decorazione le perle sono state scelte di diverse dimensioni e distribuite casualmente.
Nelle foto successive invece troviamo molte file di perle cucite come fossero molte collane che decorano le parti della silhouette lasciate nude dal vestito di Chanel.
Possiamo copiare questi dettagli su di un vestito che già possediamo. Mi piacciono molto le maniche impreziosite in questo modo, l'opzione più sexy è invece quella di decorare la schiena nuda.
